Privacy Policy

Overview

Dixo is an English pronunciation coach that scores how you say each sound and coaches the ones to fix. Everything runs on your device. This policy explains what the app accesses and how it is used.

Data Collection

Dixo does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

Your Voice

When you practice, the microphone records short clips so the app can score your pronunciation. This audio is processed entirely on your device by the speech model the app downloaded on first launch and is never uploaded or saved off-device. Recordings exist only briefly in memory while you practice.

Your Progress Data

Your practice history (scores, streaks, weak sounds) and settings are stored locally on your device using standard system storage. You can export this data to a file you choose and import it back, from Profile then "Your data". Nothing is transmitted; the file goes only where you send it.

Permissions

PermissionPurposeData sent off-device?
MicrophoneListen to your speech and score your pronunciationNo

Read mode uses the system photo picker, which runs out-of-process and needs no photo-library permission. Permissions can be revoked any time in your device's Settings app.

Third-Party Services

Dixo integrates no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising networks, or social platforms. It is built entirely with the platform's own native frameworks.

Children's Privacy

Because Dixo collects no personal data, it complies with COPPA and similar regulations. The app has no user accounts, social features, or in-app purchases.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
